The idea of the contest is to provide an icon that can be used freely by Filipino designers to note that the site containing the badge is made by or is owned by a Filipino.

Signal your attention to participate in the competition by putting up a link to www.proudlypinoy.org, or by blogging about this project (if you have a website). Then whip out the old Illustrator or Corel or GIMP whatever graphics software you prefer, and do your magic. Send the finished logo to proudlypinoy@yahoo.com.ph before 23:59, July 11, 2007, Philippine Standard Time. You may send up to 3 entries per person.

• Format should be .gif or .png or .jpg. No Flash! Flash entries will not be accepted.
• Background color should be white or transparent.
• Logo should contain text, in any font, stating “Proudly Pinoy”

When sending your logo, state your name or nickname (which we will post as a caption below your entry), and the link to your website - when people click on your entry, they will be taken to your site.

Do you have what it takes? Contest closes on July 11 2007, and the owner of the winning entry gets to go home with PHP 10,000! Right now there’s a total of more than a hundred entries, something tells me that it may take a while before the judges will be able to determine the winning entry. Specially when most of the entries are very well done and obviously well-thought of. I think I want to participate but my heart sank when I saw the entries haha, anyway. Will you join?
